This contemporary performing arts center offers dynamic music, comedy, cabaret, dance and more year-round. The ArtsQuest Center's Musikfest Cafe presented by Yuengling is an intimate concert venue featuring the best in rock, blues, jazz, folk and more, along with full dinner service for most shows. In addition, the ArtsQuest Center is home to the Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas, which showcase the best in independent, documentary and foreign films, along with weekly comedy shows.
The ArtsQuest Center features a floor-to-ceiling glass wall that provides an awe-inspiring view of the former Bethlehem Steel blast furnaces, the iconic structures from which SteelStacks takes its name. This intimate music venue is home to concerts by regional, national and international artists in virtually every style of music, with more than 150 performances annually. The dramatic setting of the stage in front of a glass wall facing the blast furnaces, along with the high-quality acoustics and the gracious food and beverage offerings, have made this venue a favorite of both artists and audiences.
This two-screen cinema features independent, foreign, scientific and documentary films daily. With stadium seating, 35 mm and digital projection, and surround sound, along with the ability to bring in food and beverages purchased at the Mike and Ike Bistro, the Alehouse Cinemas have become popular with art cinema fans from near and far. In addition to films, the cinemas offer comedy, educational lectures and live via satellite broadcasts of the "Live from the 92nd Street Y" discussion series.
Enjoy live music by regional musicians throughout the year, as well as local student artists on Sunday afternoons. This space is also home to "Stacks in the City Ladies Night" every Thursday and the free “Peas and Qs” series – a family favorite – every Saturday at 11am.
The Fowler Room hosts the Cabaret Series, which features talented singers, musicians and dancers in an intimate setting. It's also home to a variety of family programs throughout the year.
The ArtsQuest Center's second-floor Loft includes the Alvin H. Butz Gallery, which presents the work of talented artists from throughout the region and around the nation. It's also a great place to enjoy the view of the blast furnaces and the artists performing on the TD Bank Community Stage below.
The Connect Zone is home to a variety of programming including the St. Luke's SteelStacks Winter Farmers Market Saturdays from January-March and the Smarts Quest trivia competition every Thursday evening.
