Ever wished you were John McClane, Lara Croft, or Ethan Hunt? ACTION! will drop you right in the middle of an improvised blockbuster film!

Work with an ensemble on the fundamentals of narrative improv and creating a rich story in the moment without planning ahead. You will learn the basics of how to improvise hand-to-hand combat, intense car chases and intimate love scenes while honing your scene painting and narration skills to create the feeling of a real movie!

Addie Weyrich is a Philly raised, New York-based actor, comedian, writer, producer, and coach. Starting at a young age, she has been performing in both Philadelphia and New York since she was 16 years old, at theaters such as the Upright Citizens Brigade, Philly Improv Theater, NYU stages, and any other stage venue she can get her paws on.

She's currently having a blast performing in a hilarious sketch show that got picked up for a run at UCB called Simon's Street. Her experience writing and performing for New York University's sketch team Hammerkatz has readied her to now create her own video content with her sketch group Freaky Bee Comedy.

Jesse VandenBergh is a New Jersey native and an entertainer based in New York City. Jesse is a member of Bridge and Tunnel, a veteran sketch comedy troupe and crowd favorite at Montréal Sketch Fest. He can be seen performing improvised genre movies with his improv team, Bronson, at the The Tank in Chelsea. He is also the co-founder of the off-beat animation company FROG BOYZ.

Jesse has trained with Anthony Atamanuik, Chris Gethard, Anders Fors, and many other masters of improv. He has appeared in content for Comedy Central, Funny or Die, Fusion, Hulu, IFC, NBC, and Troma.

Jesse is also the grandson of MAD Magazine pioneer Will Elder.

Students must be 18 or older at the time of the workshop. Workshop durations are approximate and may go longer or shorter based on the amount of students enrolled.
