Ever been to a Movie Night with friends, where someone pulls out a film and declares, 'You're Gonna Hate This'? Join Sr. Director of Programming Ryan Hill, Programming Manager Anthony DeSanctis, and Programming Specialist Addyson Young as they take turns surprising each other with terrible movies they're convinced the others will loathe. The twist? Each of them will have a microphone to capture real-time reactions as they suffer through the film together. Bonds may be broken. Alliances may form. But it will definitely be hilarious. Get ready for the ultimate audio commentary, where we say what you're really thinking.

July's mystery film will be selected by Anthony. Ryan and Addyson will be the "victims."

This show will contain adult language and/or situations. 18+ Attendees only. All performers and staff must adhere to our codes of conduct found here.

Anthony DeSanctis

Anthony DeSanctis is ArtsQuest’s Programming Manager and the Lead Programmer of the Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas. He is a Penn State alum with a BA in Media Studies from the College of Communications. A true movie aficionado, Anthony has written and directed a few films as well. His film The Alley won Best Film at the Front House “Philm” Fest in Philadelphia in 2014. In his spare time, he enjoys improv comedy and has performed with The Associated Mess, For Eyes, and has produced his own improv comedy show The Sequel Show creating on-the-spot sequels to your favorite one-and-done films.

Addyson Young

Addyson Young is Programming Specialist at ArtsQuest, Improvisor with team, Synced Up, and Celtic fiddler with the band Fig for a Kiss. Addyson began her career at ArtsQuest as an intern for cinema and comedy in 2015 between her Junior and Senior year at Temple University where she studied Film and Spanish. After graduating, Addyson returned to ArtsQuest as Cinema and Comedy assistant and has been enjoying her career growth here ever since. While Addyson’s job now focuses mainly on booking comedy shows and experiential programming, she still loves movies and getting to analyze and dissect them with other film nerds whenever she can. (But not scary movies…she respects horror, but much like Mrs. Bennet, her constitution in much too delicate to handle such things.)

Ryan Hill

Ryan Hill is ArtsQuest’s Sr. Director of Programming, having been at ArtsQuest since helping to open the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks in 2011. He started the ArtsQuest Comedy Program at that time after having been an independent producer of comedy shows since 2008. Ryan launched both the Greater Lehigh Valley Filmmaker Festival and the SteelStacks Improv Comedy Festival, in addition to producing thousands of comedy shows, cinema screenings, drag shows, and many other events across artistic disciplines. He has taught Intro to Standup nearly every year since 2013.
