Sketch Comedy Writing 101 is a writers’ room, where students will learn the fundamentals of producing sketch comedy for the stage and screen. We’ll explore pitching ideas, script formatting, editing tips, and actionable writing techniques. The last three weeks of the class will be devoted to revising your scripts and bringing them to life with local comedians for the Graduation Show.
Highly recommended to bring a laptop computer to class each week.
This class is limited to 8 students.
No experience necessary!
Jeremiah "Jiah" Peck is a filmmaker and sketch comedy writer/director, based in the Lehigh Valley. He’s a founding member of Pigeon City (@pigeoncitysketch), co-host of the podcast Amusing Ourselves to Death (@amusingourselvestodeath) and the creator of Popcorn Pushers (@popcornpushers), a workplace sitcom premiering later this year.
