It’s Brunch o’ clock at ArtsQuest: Celebrate Spring with Easter and Mother’s Day Brunches  

Bethlehem, PA – March 13, 2024 – ArtsQuest is excited to celebrate the season with Easter and Mother’s Day Brunches set to take place this spring in the Musikfest Cafe. Easter Brunch will be held on Sunday, March 31 at 10 a.m. and Mother’s Day Brunch will be on Sunday, May 12 at 10 a.m.  

Tickets for both events are $49 (additional $1 fee) for adults 13 and older, $25 (additional $1 fee) for children 5-12 years old and children 4 and under are free. Tickets for Easter Brunch can be purchased at steelstacks.org and tickets for Mother’s Day Brunch can be purchased at steelstacks.org.  

Both events are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Approximately 50 people will be admitted into the venue at one time, every half hour from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets for both events include a delicious selection of brunch foods and a variety of juices and coffee bar, server gratuity and sales tax. 

Easter Brunch will offer a live performance by Dan Mies on the Keys. The Mother’s Day brunch will offer a live performance from professional pianist Joe Lazorik, who will perform from 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.  

Both brunches will have your breakfast and lunch favorites including a variety of egg selections, sauteed hash browns, cinnamon French toast, Applewood smoked bacon, Tofu scramble, fresh garden salads, herb grilled chicken breast, sweet mustard glazed ham, seasonal fruit, roasted vegetable medley and tons of sweet desserts. It’s Taco Tuesday. Let’s Taco’bout the Return of ArtsQuest’s Annual TacoFest at SteelStacks!  

Bethlehem, PA, March 12, 2024 – ArtsQuest is excited to announce the return of TacoFest taking place on Sunday, June 2, 2024, from 1 to 7 p.m., at the ArtsQuest campus at SteelStacks.  

Get your Premium Access tickets now at steelstacks.org for $15 (price increases to $20 starting May 28). Premium Access tickets allow early access to the event starting at noon (which means more tacos) and a 6-ounce bottle of TacoFest-branded Habanero hot sauce. It’s a day filled with tacos from throughout the Lehigh Valley, music, game shows, Margarita Madness, the Chihuahua Beauty Contest, fantastic food and drinks from a ton of vendors including our partner, Levy Restaurants at Mack Truck, Central Tap and Palette & Pour.     

“TacoFest is such a fantastic event,” said Ryan Hill, Sr. Director of Programming. “It’s a lot of fun to plan and even more so to see everyone enjoying delicious food from a fantastic selection of vendors along with the games and contests taking place throughout the afternoon. It’ll be a perfect way to kick off summer in the Lehigh Valley!” 

Additionally, you can participate in the annual Margarita Madness and find out which Lehigh Valley restaurant is voted ‘Best Margarita.’ Margarita Madness kicks off at 1 p.m. but you’ll enjoy early access to TacoFest at noon. Tickets for Margarita Madness start at $44 to $49 and the event takes place in the Musikfest Café. Each attendee will receive a 1oz. sample from each restaurant and get to vote for their favorite. Alcohol-free versions of margaritas will also be available from each participating restaurant. A complimentary tortilla chip bar with everything from guacamole, queso salsas to rice and beans will also be available.  

Ay Chihuahua! The Chihuahua Beauty Contest is back! Held next to the Levitt Pavilion Stage, this feisty event will begin at 2 p.m. Tickets are priced at $10 ($15 day of show). ArtsQuest Member tickets are $8.50 ($13.50 day of show). Strut your pup for the chance to have your dog win in one of the following categories: Gooddest Doggo, Most Huggable, Cutest Tail Wiggle and more. For each dog that wins, their owners will be awarded ArtsQuest tickets and merch! All Chihuahuas, mixes, Chihuahuas at heart and 25 lbs. or under are encouraged to participate! Please note, all dog owners must have a ticket to TacoFest in order for your furry friend to participate.

Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers – Spirit Trail: 25th Anniversary Tour Comes to Musikfest Cafe 

Bethlehem, PA – March 5, 2024 – ArtsQuest is excited to announce Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers will celebrate 25 years of Spirit Trail, bringing the album’s anniversary tour to the Musikfest Cafe on Tuesday, July 2 at 7 p.m.

Ticket Presale will be on Wednesday, March 6 at 10 a.m. Tickets for the general public will be available starting on Friday, Mar 8 at 10 a.m. at SteelStacks.org. Ticket prices range from $59 to $85.  

Bruce Hornsby has built one of the most diverse, collaborative and adventurous careers in contemporary music. Based out of Williamsburg, VA, Hornsby first rose to national prominence with The Way It Is, his1986 Grammy-winning debut album with The Range. The title track became the most played song on American radio in 1987. In 1991 Hornsby collaborated with Bonnie Raitt, playing on her iconic hit “I Can’t Make You Love Me”.  

Hornsby was a part-time member of the Grateful Dead from September 1990 to March 1992, performing over 100 concerts in America and Europe. The 13-time Grammy nominee has also solidified his status as a highly sought-after collaborator. Hornsby’s own 23 albums have sold over 11 million copies worldwide, and he has appeared on over 100 records including releases with Bob Dylan, Don Henley, the Grateful Dead, Stevie Nicks, Ricky Skaggs, Bob Seger, Chaka Khan, Bon Iver, Brandon Flowers, Bonnie Raitt, Sting, Mavis Staples, Willie Nelson and more. His most recent studio album, ‘Flicted, was released in May ‘22.

Encienda sus motores para los encuentros de Cars & Coffee 2024

Bethlehem, PA – 4 de marzo de 2024 – Nos complace anunciar que Cars & Coffee regresará para la novena serie anual de exhibiciones de automóviles en el campus de SteelStacks esta primavera y verano. Start Your Engines for Cars & Coffee 2024 Meetups

Bethlehem, PA – March 4, 2024 – We’re excited to announce that Cars & Coffee will be making its return for the ninth annual car show series on the SteelStacks campus this spring and summer. Cars & Coffee is presented by Koch Automotive Group, including Koch 33 Toyota, Koch 33 Ford, Koch 33 Mazda, Koch 33 Volkswagen, Koch 33 Specialized Upfitters, Koch 33 Collison, Bethlehem Ford and Nazareth Ford. Cars & Coffee, a free car show encourages people throughout the Lehigh Valley to come out for a morning filled with fun, coffee and of course cars! Even if you don’t have a ‘cool’ car, come out and see dozens (and dozens) of others.

Opening day is scheduled for Sunday, April 21 from 9 a.m. to noon. Cars & Coffee runs from April through September on the following Sundays: April 21, May 19, June 16, July 14, August 25 and September 22. Each month also offers a different car theme, from Imports to American Muscle to European.

“We are looking forward to warmer days and the return of Cars & Coffee once again here at ArtsQuest,” said Dan Kendra, event co-creator. “Hosting events like these is a great way to bring the car community from throughout the Lehigh Valley and beyond together for car camaraderie.”

The Mack Truck Stop at the Levitt Pavilion will be serving beverages and breakfast sandwiches available for purchase throughout the event.

“The Bethlehem Police Department is looking forward to car enthusiasts once again congregating at SteelStacks for the annual Cars & Coffee events throughout the summer,” commented Chief Kott. “With a very successful event last year, we once again encourage all drivers to follow traffic laws and make sure their cars are street legal for their own safety and those visiting the event, vendors and fellow police officers.”

ArtsQuest and Embassy Bank Honor Local Heroes in 14th Annual ‘Our Hometown Heroes’ Photo Display

Bethlehem, PA – February 27, 2024 –  ArtsQuest and Embassy Bank are asking the community to help honor our local Hometown Heroes by submitting photos of family, friends and neighbors who have or are currently serving our country for the ‘Our Hometown Heroes’ Memorial on the ArtsQuest at SteelStacks campus. Photo submissions begin March 1 – 31. The Memorial can be viewed from May 25 to July 14.

“The annual celebration of Our Hometown Heroes is extremely special to the Lehigh Valley,” said Dave Lobach, Embassy Bank President, CEO & Chairman. “It is truly inspiring to visit the SteelStacks campus during Memorial Day weekend and see all of the banners displayed with the courageous men and women who have served on our behalf. We are extremely grateful to them and their families.”

ArtsQuest will accept the first 200 photo submissions received and the deadline to submit photos is March 31. Over the past fourteen years more than 1,500 photos of our local heroes have been submitted to honor heroes. To submit photos, individuals can either upload a digital photocopy at steelstacks.org or drop off a hard copy at any Embassy Bank location. Hardcopies will also be accepted at the Banana Factory, located at 25 W. 3rd St in Bethlehem. Hardcopies will be returned promptly at the location in which they were dropped off. All photos must be high-resolution and filed as jpeg, tiff, bitmap or PDF file for digital copies. Color and black and white photos will be accepted.

The first 200 photos will be displayed on the ‘Our Hometown Heroes’ banner throughout the ArtsQuest at SteelStacks campus to show appreciation and gratitude to all those who serve, past and present. Please include soldier’s rank, branch, dates of service and hometown. Images from previous years will automatically be on display as part of the ‘Our Hometown Heroes’ Memorial.

More information regarding the 2024 Memorial Day events throughout the ArtsQuest campus will be available later this Spring.

Get your Irish on with Celtic-Themed Performances Happening at SteelStacks in March

Bethlehem, PA – February 22, 2024 – Join us as at ArtsQuest throughout the month of March for two Irish themed events: the return of a popular Irish band and four comedian friends that will have you laughing the night away.

The Irish Comedy Tour will perform on Friday March 8 at the Musikfest Cafe. Enjoy a night filled with laughter as Derek, Michael, Damon and Derrick, a foursome with Irish backgrounds, tear apart and validate all things Irish! They are also musicians, and each has hilarious and personal stories to share that will make your belly laugh and leave you ‘greening’ from ear to ear. Ticket prices start at $32 per person and go up to $35. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. Get there early to enjoy a delicious dinner before the show at 6:30 p.m. You must be 18 years or older or have a parent/guardian with you if you’re between 13-17 years of age.

Looking for something fun to do the week leading up to St. Patrick’s Day? You’re in luck because on Wednesday March 13, 2024, Dervish is coming back to the Lehigh Valley as part of their United States tour. Dervish is known as one of the best interpreters of Irish folk music and the band was recently recognized with a BBC Lifetime Achievement Award for their work. This performance will include music from their upcoming album, The Great Irish Songbook Chapter 2 which will be released later this year. Get ready to ‘shamrock and roll’ the night away listening to Irish folk music by a group that started as childhood friends. Tickets start at $29 per person and go up to $35. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. Arrive early and have dinner with us before the show at 6:00 p.m.

Cheers To Froth and Good Times: Spring 2024 Beerfest II Returns

After last year’s sold-out debut, ArtsQuest and Lehigh Valley Brewers’ Guild knew it was only right for a comeback. 

Bethlehem, PA, February 21, 2024, – Cheers! Following the tremendous success of last year’s sold-out debut, ArtsQuest, in partnership with the Lehigh Valley Brewers’ Guild, is thrilled to announce the return of the second annual Spring Beerfest. This celebration of great beer, great friendships and good times is set to take place Saturday, March 30, 2024, at the Musikfest Café. This is a 21-and-over event.  Tickets are now on sale for both sessions at steelstacks.org and pricing starts at $50 for Premium Access and $35 for General Admission. ArtsQuest Member pricing starts at $45 for Premium Access and $30 for General Admission.

Every year, Independent film lovers travel near and far to a small town in Utah with a population of only eight-thousand for Sundance, the largest indie film festival in the country. During the 10 days which the event runs, people come together to listen and share their stories and perspectives through a cinematic lens.

As this event comes and goes each year, Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas’ Programming Manager, Anthony DeSanctis reflects on his time out West. Here are his top films that he looks forward to seeing once they hit the cinemas in the near future.

1 | Ibelin

My absolute favorite gem from the festival turned out to be the very first film I caught – the proud recipient of the Audience Award for World Cinema Documentary Competition: Ibelin. This film hit me right in the feels and easily ranks as one of the most emotionally charged experiences I had at Sundance. You just can’t help but fall in love with it. By the end of the movie, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house – and those were definitely the good kind of tears. Ibelin is the kind of movie that not only tugs at your heartstrings but ties a few knots in them for good measure.

2 | Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story 

Another amazing documentary. Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story masterfully navigates between the highs of his pre-accident career and the remarkable achievements he and his family accomplished afterward. The film portrays Reeve’s journey from embracing the iconic Superman role at 24 to grappling with the burdens it imposed, only to find himself embodying the superhero ethos once again after his life-altering accident. Through its poignant storytelling, the movie beautifully captures Reeve’s transformation into a beacon of hope for those with disabilities, echoing the core message of the Superman character. It’s a touching narrative that leaves not a single eye dry in the audience.

3 | In the Summers

A simple story, well told. This film is like a quiet surprise. Sneaky in its effectiveness, it creeps into your thoughts long after the credits roll. I found myself mulling over this gem for quite a while, and that’s when you know a movie has truly left its mark.

4 | Thelma 

Picture this: what if Mission Impossible starred a 90-year-old woman instead of Tom Cruise? That’s the ingenious premise of this film, a delightful romp that pays homage to action cinema. At its heart is the lovable Thelma, brought to life by the always-charming June Squibb. And as if that wasn’t enough, the late, great Richard Roundtree graces the screen with his presence as well. Trust me, this movie is an absolute blast and you have to see it with a crowd. It’s so enjoyable that I found myself wishing it wouldn’t end, and I could easily see a series of films revolving around Thelma.

5 | Hit Man

Richard Linklater once again demonstrates his mastery in filmmaking with Hit Man, showcasing an abundance of confidence and charisma effortlessly. Glenn Powell’s natural on-camera presence reaffirms his ascent as one of Hollywood’s brightest stars, while Adria Arjona’s instant stardom is undeniable. Together, their chemistry is mesmerizing, rendering the film endlessly rewatchable. Upon its conclusion, the desire to dive back into its world is immediate.

Jam Band Legends ‘moe.’ Coming to the Levitt Pavilion at SteelStacks

February 13, 2024, Bethlehem, PA – ArtsQuest is excited to announce moe. will be jamming at The Levitt Pavilion at SteelStacks on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, with opening band, Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the show will begin at 7 p.m.

Ticket access begins Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. for ArtsQuest Members and Friday, Feb. 16 at 10 a.m. for the general public at steelstacks.org. Ticket prices run from $36 to $40 (day of show). Hailed by American Songwriter for their “mind-bending musicality,” moe. is treasured for their mesmerizing musical synergy, unfettered showmanship and smart, resonant songcraft. For three decades, the band, made up of Al Schnier (guitars, vocals), Chuck Garvey (guitars, vocals), Rob Derhak (bass, vocals), Jim Loughlin (percussion, vibes) and Vinnie Amico (drums), has corralled myriad musical forms on a truly original journey rich with crafty, clever songwriting and astonishing resourcefulness. Fueled by an impassioned fan base, moe. has spent much of those thirty years on the road, encompassing countless live performances marked by eclectic wit, deep friendship and exploratory invention.

While touring, moe. has enjoyed innumerable headline tours, international festival sets from Bonnaroo to Japan’s famed Fuji Rock, music-themed cruises and sold-out shows alongside such like-minded acts as the Allman Brothers Band, Robert Plant, members of the Grateful Dead, Dave Matthews Band, The Who, Gov’t Mule and Blues Traveler, to name a few. They’ve also promoted and headlined at multiple festivals of their own, including snoe.down and moe.down.
